Katie, I love you and your family and your sense of adventure! They wanted a nice family picture with the beautiful fall leaves. We had planned this day a week in advance. Unfortunately, the morning of pictures, it was pouring! We decided to go ahead anyway and pray for a break in the rain. No such luck. We drove from spot to spot and ran out to quickly snap a few pictures, then ran back to the cars for shelter. It was definitely one of the funnest shoots I have ever done.

What a lucky little guy to be born in to such a sweet family with an amazing mom! His momma is one of my very best friends and I was so happy to see her, meet baby J and be able to take these pictures. This little guy was just over 3 weeks when I met him. Such a sweet guy. He made things exciting at the beginning (he he he) and then suddenly he zonks out and gives us this beautiful smile. Oh I wanted to just snuggle him all day! Anyway, just one to peek at now. P.S. This was my first attempt doing a session indoors using only natural light. I must say...I love it :)

Love this little guy! Like most one year olds, this little guy was on-the-go! So much to see and do. New toys to discover! I LOVE the busy-ness and curiosity of this age. Mikell is a good friend of mine. I grew up with her and her brothers and have a lot of good memories with this family. Mikell was like a little sister that grew into a good friend. A couple of weeks ago I was able to second shoot with my friend Kacee. We did a family session at Wheeler Farm and had a great time. I love this location and am excited to shoot some more out there. This family was fun and they had 3 cute grandsons that really made it a fun session. Enjoy!

PS...my images are not as crisp on my blog as they should be. I've noticed that for a while now. Ugh! I've been gearing up to do a new blog/website so I guess I had better get going on that sooner rather than later!

Meet M&T. These handsome boys were 12 days old when I met them. They were as sweet as could be and were SO tiny. Big sister K was here for the session too and we got some of her with "the brothers" as she calls them. K is 2 years old and such a sweet heart (more of her and the brothers to come!) Last week I met one of my best friends up Big Cottonwood Canyon to try to get some pictures of her 2 little guys. We were really hoping for some awesome fall leaves but didn't find much and unfortunately it was SOOOO cold we weren't able to convince the boys to sit for very long. (I have to admit, it was pretty cold.) We'll have to try again soon but in the mean time, here is one that made me smile. I love these 2 little monkeys and am really glad my little boys will be able to grow up playing with them. Hope you like this one KT...

My Birthday's Gonna Be Three

This is my little monkey and on September 6, he turned 3! His favorite thing to do lately is sing himself the happy birthday song (still) and when seeing family and friends, his usual greeting is "my birthday's gonna be three!" Parker has a major fascination with trains right now, and I thought a location involving trains would be perfect to represent this time in his life. He was a little apprehensive at times, but overall had a great time and gave me a few good pictures to print. Love you little buddy!

I learned the hard way that the lighting on the Farmington trail is not the best for taking pictures. It's unfortunate because that location is GORGEOUS! The location we decided to try next is even more beautiful. Thank you SOOOOO much to my friend Maria for letting us use their family property to take these photos. Maria, you are the best!! I did pictures when L was 6 months old and she was so happy and easy going then and was so fun to shoot. Well, the only thing that has changed is that she is 3 months older and that she has thicker/darker hair. She was still as happy and easy going as ever and such a joy to shoot! Thanks Melissa! Love these guys! Their little boy is so darling. He wanted to play and run and chase the ducks during the entire shoot.
